TORONTO – Two men are facing murder charges nearly two years after a 21-year-old man was gunned down in a school parking lot in Toronto.
Police say the alleged homicide took place in March 2017.
Officers began investigating when they were called to an east Toronto school and found Dylan Greenaway in the parking lot with apparent gunshot wounds.
He was eventually pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say they arrested two 20-year-old men, Hafis Mohideen-Hassan and Mohammad Patel, on Monday and charged both suspects with first-degree murder.
Patel is also accused of possession of a restricted weapon after police allegedly recovered a loaded semi-automatic pistol during the arrest.
