Montreal police are investigating after a 24-year-old man was killed Wednesday in Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, a borough in the city’s east end.
Officers say the victim was found with stab wounds to the upper body inside an apartment on Faribault Avenue, near Henri-De Salières Avenue.

He was rushed to hospital, where he later died.
A 26-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and is being questioned by police.
The case is considered Montreal’s third homicide of the year.

It’s the second incident to occur on that street in less than week.
Last Friday, a 70-year-old woman was found stabbed inside her apartment.
A 74-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
