Central Hastings OPP say a Stirling-Rawdon man has been arrested in connection to a recent gas station robbery and theft at an LCBO.
OPP say just before 11 p.m. on Dec. 25, a man smashed a window and entered the Stirling LCBO on North Street in the village of Stirling (approximately 80 kilometres southeast of Peterborough). Police say a quantity of alcohol was stolen.
On Jan. 14 around 8:20 p.m., a man entered the Pioneer gas station on Matthew Street in the village of Marmora (55 kilometres east of Peterborough) and allegedly demanded money from an employee and fled with an unknown amount of cash.
Last week, police released surveillance images and a composite sketch of the suspect in the reported gas station robbery.
On Monday, OPP stated an arrest was made in both incidents.
Jared Hubble, 27, of Stirling-Rawdon, has been charged with robbery with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and break-and-enter.
He is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing in court in Belleville on Monday.
