Manitoba Merv joined the likes of Wiarton Willie in saying spring is around the corner, as the furry creature did not see its shadow at Oak Hammock Marsh on Saturday morning.

Winnipeg Wyn, who is a real groundhog, while Merv is a puppet, also decided spring was on the way, according to the folks at Fort Whyte Alive, where Wyn hangs out year-round.
