This riding will see only its third election in 2019. Then-Wildrose MLA Jason Dixon won the riding in 2015. He will be running again, this time as a member of the United Conservative Party.

In 2012, Wildrose MLA Joe Anglin was elected in this riding. He left the party in 2014, but wasn’t allowed to run as a member of the Progressive Conservative party, so he ran as an independent in 2015.
