A man has been charged after a domestic incident in Innisfil, police said.
According to South Simcoe police, on Tuesday, officers received a report of a domestic incident that had allegedly occurred the previous evening at a home in Innisfil.
After an investigation, officers said a 26-year-old woman was physically assaulted during an argument with her husband.
The victim did not require medical treatment, police said.
Police said a 31-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault and assault with a weapon.
According to police, the accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
