Britain’s Iron Lady was laid to rest amid pomp and protest.
Dignitaries filled St. Paul’s Cathedral in London for the funeral of former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher.
Thatcher was given a ceremonial funeral with military honours, which has raised the ire of those who believe her legacy is a socially and economically divided nation.
A retired teacher stood outside the cathedral this morning with a sign to protest spending taxpayers’ money on the funeral.
Prime Minister Harper was among the world leaders and other dignitaries at the service.
