Wanted man arrested in Saskatoon shooting

Saskatoon police announced Jan. 28 a 30-year-old man, who was wanted for recklessly discharging a gun has been taken into custody.

A 41-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound was found the morning of Jan. 12 by officers inside a home in the 100-block of Avenue T South. He was taken to hospital and last reported in serious, but stable condition.

An arrest warrant was issued for 30-year-old Nigel William Stonefish following the shooting. He was wanted for aggravated assault, recklessly discharging a gun as well as several other Criminal Code offences.

Police said the 30-year-old man was arrested on the evening of Jan. 25 in Saskatoon.
