History
The Calgary-Fish Creek riding was dominated by the Progressive Conservatives since 1979. Heather Forsyth was elected in Calgary-Fish Creek as a PC member in 1993, but crossed the floor to Wildrose in 2010 and eked out a victory by 38 votes in 2012.
Gotfried became part of the United Conservative Party (UCP) caucus when the party came into being in 2017.
