Video captures the moment of Boston Marathon explosion

TORONTO – Three people are dead and more than 140 are injured after multiple explosions shattered the finish of the Boston Marathon on Monday.

Steve Silva, a Boston Globe photojournalist just steps away from the finish line caught the moment on video as panic spread through the crowd.

In the video, screams can be heard almost immediately after the explosion.

“We’ve had an attack,” Silva said.

Police, emergency workers and uniformed members of the military can also be seen clearing debris and fences from the area directly surrounding the explosion.

The explosions killed two people and injured more than 50 others in a terrifying scene of broken glass, smoke and severed limbs at the world’s oldest and most prestigious race, authorities said.

Meanwhile, a runner’s video camera was also able to capture the first explosion at the Boston Marathon on Monday. This was posted on Youtube.
