He's a three time All-Canadian and one of the most exciting basketball players to ever suit up for the University of Saskatchewan Huskies. Andrew Spagrud is a legend on the hard court – both during his time with the Huskies and in high school with the Aden Bowman Bears.
It seems whenever I'm at a basketball game, someone comes up and asks "Whatever happened to Andrew Spagrud…"
Well I managed to catch up with him a few days ago, calling him at his home in Sundsvall, Sweden – where he now plays professional basketball.

As you can tell from that story, Andrew Spagrud is loving it over in Sweden and why not – he's following a dream and having fun at the same time. I did ask if he missed Canada at all and without missing a beat, he said yes.

"Whenever you go away from home, you miss it and get homesick once ina while but most of the time I'm so busy so I don't really notice it. I wasn't able to go home for Christmas so that was kinda the worst it's been here but it wasn't so bad because I have my fiancee here."
A big congratulations to Andrew Spagrud who's doing well with his life away from the U of S – a new league, a new team, and a fiancee… life is good for Andrew Spagrud.
