One woman is dead and five people, including a child, were injured in a collision on Highway 10 on Montreal’s South Shore.
The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Thursday evening between Brossard and Chambly.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) said a driver heading westbound on the highway lost control, veered into the eastbound lanes and struck two other vehicles.
The 42-year-old driver has since died.
SQ officers say they fear for the life of one of the victims, but the other three, including the child, are in stable condition.

Highway 10 has been reopened between highways 30 and 35.
