The Order of Canada, presided by Governor General David Johnston on behalf of the Queen, honoured 39 Canadians for their lifetime achievements and involvement in the community. Created in 1967, it is the second-highest honour in the country next to the Order of Merit. Global News takes a look at some of the 2011 recipients.
