Five-year-old Kayleigh Callaghan-Belanger was walking home from school the afternoon of March 7 when she and two other children were hit by a garbage truck. A six-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl were taken to the hospital with injuries; a fourth child who was with the group was unharmed.

Toronto city council has since approved of a review of its solid waste operations.
