Construction has finally started for the first social housing project on the old Little Mountain site near Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Park.
The five-storey building will contain 53 social housing apartments.

The four families who have stayed at the Little Mountain site and former residents will have the first opportunity to move into the new homes.
The site will eventually contain more than 1,600 mixed housing units.
The first project is expected to be completed in 2015.
