REGINA – Fire crews were called to Schneider Crescent Tuesday afternoon for reports of a house fire.
Neighbours described heavy smoke coming from the home and said they were frightened the man who lived there might still be inside.

“It was coming out of the west side window of the home,” said neighbor Shauna Jose. “Then it started coming out the front two bigger windows, the smoke really started to come out.”
Jose was relieved to learn her neighbour was not home at the time and that his pet cats were safe.
Officials are now working to determine what sparked the blaze.
