ROAD TRIP

Before having a baby, driving to work wasn't something I gave much thought to, but now, the 10 or so kilometres from my house to Global News seemed like a challenge.  I decided to bring Brooklyn with me to shoot a Christmas Promo, a short outing to give us (well me) some practice getting loaded up safely.

At 12:15 I started going through the diaper bag check list.. extra clothes, blankets, wipes and of course diapers.  One of the many bonuses of breastfeeding.. the milk is always on board :)  After getting her strapped in the car seat, my husband was worried it wasn't tight enough, so out she came and 45 minutes after we started to leave we were out the door and even though I'm a safe driver (SGI even agrees), I was driving slower than ever!

She had been crying a lot in the morning, but was a real princess at work.  She slept right through the taping and being passed amongst her admirers! My upper body is getting more of a work out than it's had in a long time!  I can't imagine what it's like carrying around a 15 pound baby, I guess I'll work up to that.

Thanks for the well wishes on my last post!  A couple of people have asked me why she was wearing the funny glasses in one of the pictures.. that was her night in the incubater under the phototherapy light for her jaundice.. it was nice and cozy in there, so she didn't seem to mind!

Check out the photo of me and Brooklyn at work, and a couple we had taken of her when she was 6 days old.

Enjoy and thanks for reading!
