ST. JOHN’S, N.L. – The Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador has granted an injunction against Labatt workers who walked off the job almost two weeks ago at its brewing plant in St. John’s.
Fifty unionized workers walked out when out-of-province replacement workers were brought in for training in the event of a strike.

The unionized workers have been preventing the management team from entering the business on Leslie Street.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says they have been called to the picket line more than 100 times.
In granting the injunction, Justice Donald Burrage has ordered that striking workers no longer block people from entering and exiting the brewery.
The strikers were also ordered to remove a tent and fire barrels from the premises.
