Mayor Watts pledges to clean up Surrey’s Colebrook Road

Residents living near Surrey’s Colebrook Road are optimistic about the city’s plan to reduce crime in the area in response to the discovery of four bodies along the remote stretch so far this year.

The City recently installed security cameras along the road, and since then police say complaints related to the area have basically stopped.

At a meeting last night residents were pleased to hear Mayor Dianne Watts has also promised to target petty crime and derelict homes in the area, which are often turned into meth labs and become fire hazards.
