The Township
Minden Hills — usually referred to as Minden — is in central Ontario and is called the gateway to the Haliburton Highlands. The town of Minden is about 100 kilometres north of Peterborough and 125 kilometres east of Barrie. Tourism is a leading industry as the area’s population dramatically increases during the summer months as tourists and cottagers flock to the township with its abundance of lakes and river systems.
