Prisoner who escaped from hospital caught by Saskatchewan RCMP

Saskatchewan RCMP have captured a man who escaped from custody.

Tyson Cote, 26, escaped from a hospital in Kamsack late Sunday afternoon after he was taken there for treatment of a medical issue.

In a press release Tuesday afternoon, Kamsack RCMP said Cote had been arrested, but provided no other details.

Cote was originally arrested on Sept. 22 after police were called to a home on the Cote First Nation for an assault complaint.

He is facing a number of charges, including assault.

Cote First Nation is roughly 340 kilometres east of Saskatoon.
