Play ball! Stolen gear returned

The Kelowna minor baseball season will get underway as planned thanks to local RCMP.

The league was hit by thieves in early March when $3,000 worth of equipment was stolen from a storage locker at Elk’s Stadium in Kelowna.

RCMP say they’ve recovered all of the stolen equipment including baseball bats, balls and uniforms.

“This week, the Kelowna RCMP Property Crime Unit recovered the stolen equipment from an abandoned storage locker that had been registered to a person well-known to police,” says Constable Kris Clark.

“Fortunately, the Kelowna Minor Baseball season should not be affected now that all of the equipment has been returned.”
