A woman is in critical condition in a Saskatoon hospital after a crash early Thursday morning in Prince Albert, Sask.
Police said the white sedan the woman was driving hit a light standard at 6th Avenue and Branion Drive just before 3 a.m. CT and flipped on its side.
The force of the crash knocked the light standard over.
The driver, who police believe was not wearing a seatbelt, was pinned under the vehicle and extracted by Prince Albert firefighters.
She was rushed to Victoria Hospital by paramedics and then airlifted by STARS to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, however, Prince Albert police believe alcohol and drugs are not factors.
