Saskatchewan Rush said goodbye to Brett Mydske and Adrian Sorichetti as the National Lacrosse League (NLL) expands.

The league’s new clubs, the Philadelphia Wings and San Diego Seals, took turns making their picks of unprotected players over nine rounds of the NLL expansion draft on July 16.

San Diego chose Mydske, 29, with their second pick. He will become an unrestricted free agent on Aug. 1 and eligible to accept any offer tabled to him despite his selection by the Seals.

The veteran defender, from Westminster, B.C., is the Rush’s all-time leader in games played since joining the NLL in 2010. Mydske has appeared in 152 regular-season games and 26 in the playoffs.
