Temporary shutdown of LRT service after man is hit by CTrain

The downtown Calgary LRT line was temporarily shut down Saturday morning, after a man was hit by a CTrain.

Just before 8 a.m., a man was found under the CTrain on 7 Avenue, near 8 Street.

The man in his early 20s was taken to Foothills Medical Centre in serious but stable condition, according to Calgary EMS.

The downtown LRT line was shut down while police investigated.

The train resumed service a couple of hours later.
