A dog that was reported stolen in Oakville last week has been located, police said.
Halton Regional Police say the animal was left in a unlocked vehicle in the parking lot of 2084 Speers Rd. on Friday afternoon.
“When the owner returned, within minutes of leaving the animal, the dog was gone,” Halton police stated in a media release on Tuesday.
On Tuesday afternoon, police said that a “concerned citizen” had removed the dog from the vehicle.
The animal was brought to the Humane Society and later returned to the owner, police said.
