A 10-year-old girl suffered minor injuries after she was allegedly punched by a woman while walking with her family in downtown Saskatoon.
Police were initially called to a disturbance at a bar in the 200 block of 21st Street East just after 7:15 p.m. CT Wednesday where a woman was accused of stealing a drink from a customer.
She allegedly turned over chairs and threw the glass at the customer before leaving.
Witnesses said she then kicked and punched parked vehicles before approaching a family walking on 3rd Avenue South.
The woman then allegedly punched the 10-year-old girl before fleeing.
She was tracked down by members of the Saskatoon police bike unit.
Police said she resisted arrested and spat at an officer while being taken into custody.
The 24-year-old woman is facing three assault charges, theft, marijuana possession and breach of an undertaking.
