Montreal judge Marie-Josee Di Lallo sentenced Yvan Grandmaison to six years in prison minus time served for impaired driving causing death and injury.

MONTREAL – A Dollard-des-Ormeaux man has been found guilty of impaired driving causing death and injury when he drove his car into an elderly couple last year.

A judge found Yvan Grandmaison guilty on both counts in her decision made at the Montreal courthouse Tuesday afternoon.

Grandmaison registered absolutely no reaction when the decision was made.

The judge in the case decided Grandmaison “made the wrong decision” when he decided to drive while under the influence of at least three beers and a powerful anti-depressant that made him sleepy.
