Ridge Meadows RCMP have confirmed a woman was shot while driving in Pitt Meadows early Monday morning.

Police say the woman was the victim of a targeted, isolated shooting.

The vehicle is now at the side of the road and yellow tarp is covering the car.

The woman was transported to hospital and her current condition is not known.

The incident occurred in front of Hopcott Meats at 18385 Old Dewdney Trunk Road.

It also appears a power pole was also struck.

The road was closed between Lougheed Highway and Reichenbach Road.

On Tuesday, RCMP said the victim was known to police.

Police have released descriptions of two suspect vehicles.

The first vehicle is a silver Ford Focus hatchback, like the one pictured below, with Manitoba licence plates. A female driver and male passenger were in the vehicle.
The second suspect vehicle is described as a late-model black or dark-coloured pickup truck that was being driven by a male driver.
