WINNIPEG – It was meant to be an afternoon media preview for the upcoming Super Spring Break Circus at MTS Centre.
But after the interviews were done and the animals were being taken from their cages for a photo opportunity, one of the three baboons escaped.
The female baboon ran around MTS Centre for at least 20 minutes, scaling railings and sampling the seats in the lower level bowl of the downtown arena until training staff were finally able to capture it.
