Police in Cobourg have located Reginald Smith.

Police in Cobourg are searching for a man who left Northumberland Hills Hospital on Thursday afternoon.

Reginald Smith, 70, was last seen around 4 p.m. with his belongings. Police believe he was heading to the downtown area.

It’s the second time this month police have launched a search for Smith after he went missing on June 9. He was found shortly after.

Smith is described as 145 pounds, six feet tall, with thinning grey hair. He was last seen wearing a green plaid shirt and khaki-coloured pants.

“The hospital and surrounding areas have been searched along with his residence,” police stated. “Neighbouring police services, local businesses and cab companies have been notified as well.”

Police say there are no medical concerns at this time.

“As a result of his absence, the extended period of time that has passed causes police to escalate our public efforts to locate Reginald Smith and ensure his well-being,” police said.
