Fire investigators and the RCMP are trying to determine the cause of an early morning fire in Squamish that left one resident in hospital with serious injuries.
Firefighters were called to a home in the 38000-block of 4th Avenue in downtown Squamish shortly before 2 a.m. on Thursday.

When police arrived a short time later, the house was completely engulfed in flames.
Two residents and a family pet lived in the home, according to Squamish RCMP.
One of them was rushed to Squamish Hospital and then transferred to Vancouver General Hospital for treatment.
A neighbouring home also suffered extensive damage.
