A mysterious border crossing caused some confusion in South Surrey recently.

It popped up on 8th Avenue, near 192nd Street, about six blocks north of 0 Avenue.

While some drivers were confused and slowed down to look and check, it turns out the structure and road markings were just part of a film set.

Crews were in town filming for the new movie based on the Timmy Failure books, a popular series about Timmy, a “brilliantly bad detective with a sidekick polar bear.”

It is directed by Tom McCarthy who also directed Spotlight and two episodes of the first season of 13 Reasons Why.

The attraction was removed Wednesday.
