N.B. man arrested after shots fired at home in Caraquet

A New Brunswick man has been arrested after shots were fired at a residence in Caraquet, N.B., on Monday.

Officers responded just after 5 p.m. to a report of two shots fired at a garage next to a home on St. Simon Road. No one was injured.

Police searched the area and arrested a 53-year-old man from Saint-Léolin, N.B., at around 8:35 p.m.

The man is scheduled to appear in Caraquet Provincial Court on June 26.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Caraquet RCMP detachment at 506-726-5222 or submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
