A fatal accident in Hamilton is believed to have been caused by street racing.
The multi-vehicle crash happened at Queenston Road and Delena Avenue shortly after 5:30 p.m., on Wednesday, June 13, 2018.
Witnesses at the scene described two vehicles racing westbound on Queenston Road.
One of the vehicles was a silver Mercedes C350 and the other vehicle is described as a white 4-D sedan.
The westbound silver Mercedes C350 struck a Toyota Yaris as it exited a private drive from the north side of the roadway.
The driver of the Yaris was killed in the crash, but her name has not been released.
The impact from the collision caused the Mercedes to veer into oncoming traffic and collide head-on with an eastbound 2010 Ford Escape.
Further investigation is required before details relating to alcohol related offences can be released.
Police are asking for witnesses to come forward with any information they may have relating to this street racing incident and the involved vehicles or drivers.
The driver of the second vehicle involved in the street racing is strongly encouraged to contact police.
