The RDOS said it has received an order from the Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development (FLNRORD) to conduct emergency works on Crown Land to mitigate the flooding.

The RDOS has secured funding through Emergency Management BC (EMBC) to hire engineers to design a pumping operation to manage the water level in Green Lake.

The pumping is expected to begin Friday, April 13th.

The See Ya Later Ranch winery is one of the properties under the evacuation alert.

It remains open for business.

“We are grateful to the Regional District Okanagan-Similkameen and the Province for their support and proactive approach in controlling the water levels of Green Lake, says winery spokesperson Troy Osborne in a media release.
