Chris Hemsworth supports B.C. Children’s Hospital and delights volunteers

The B.C. Children’s Hospital got some superhero support on the weekend when actor Chris Hemsworth was at the Whitecaps game.

The organization posted a video to their Facebook page showing Hemsworth buying $1,000 worth of 50/50 tickets.

“If I win it goes all to the kids, I don’t want it,” Hemsworth says in the video.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

“I thank the children’s hospital for giving me inspiration. What a bunch of brave little warriors they are.”

Hemsworth is in Vancouver filming Bad Times at the El Royale with Russell Crowe and Jon Hamm.

The early bird deadline for the B.C. Children’s Hospital’s choices lottery is Thursday night. The winner gets to choose vacations for life, a vacation property or $250,000 in cash.
