A settlement approved by the Ontario Municipal Board clears the way for a development in North Burlington.
The result will be a 17 storey residential tower and a pair of six-storey apartment blocks, adding up to more than 600 new units in the area of Appleby Line and Highway 407.
Adi Development Group had originally proposed a 19 storey tower at the location on Thomas Alton Boulevard, as well as two rows of stacked townhouse blocks.
The settlement will also increase the size of a publicly accessible park on the site from 2,064 square metres to 2,481 square metres.
The project went to the OMB in December 2016 after Burlington council turned down the needed official plan and zoning changes, for which city staff had recommended approval.
