Police seize marihuana, mushrooms in Maples drug raids

Two people are facing numerous drug related charges following a drug raid in the Maples, Friday.

Police raided two separate homes, one on Kowall Bay and a second home on Pickley Crescent.

More than 400 marihuana plants and dried marihuana was seized, along with mushrooms, grow operation equipment and cash, totalling more than half a million dollars.

A 49-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man, both from Petersfield, have been charged.

Police say the pair are related but are unsure how the two are connected to the homes.
