WINNIPEG — Singer-songwriter and violinist Raine Hamilton has always loved music and she wants to make sure her passion can be shared with everyone.
Hamilton joined Global News Morning to talk about her latest album and how she’s taken steps to ensure the release show is accessible to the Deaf community.

Hamilton is the vocalist and violinist of a chamber folk string trio that includes Quintin Bart, who plays double bass, and Natanielle Felicitas playing cello.
In May 2017, the trio included American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation of their show and since then, they’ve received an outpouring of positive feedback.
“I really think that music is for everyone; that art is for everyone.”
Hamilton’s latest album ‘Night Sky’ releases on March 23.
An album release show scheduled for March 24 at the West End Cultural Centre.
Hamilton said, in addition to ASL interpretation of the show, they’ve also collaborated with two artists to help facilitate the experience to members of the Deaf community: Jordan Sangalang who is set to perform ASL poetry in the opening set, and shadowing performed by Joanna Hawkins throughout the show.
