A resident at the Montreal Children’s Hospital was arrested Monday after he was allegedly found to be in possession of several vials of fentanyl.

The hospital confirmed Wednesday that Dr. Jacob Kleiman, 28, was a resident at the Children’s.
He appeared Tuesday at the Montreal courthouse to be charged with possession of narcotics and theft of narcotics.

Kleiman remains in custody pending further proceedings, according to Montreal police.
He is scheduled to return to court on April 27 for his bail hearing.
