Environment Canada issued a winter weather travel advisory for London-Middlesex, Elgin, Huron-Perth, Oxford Brant and Simcoe-Delhi-Norfolk Wednesday morning.
The system was predicted to leave five to 10 centimetres of snow on the ground before it moves to the northeast.
Poor visibility accompanied the thick snow as it made for slick driving conditions.
The OPP encouraged drivers to slow down and plan extra time for their commutes.
