Oliver RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance to track down the suspect responsible for a smash and grab in Oliver on Saturday.
Cpl. Christina Tarasoff said RCMP responded to a report of a break in at the Desert Country Liquor store located on Main Street in Oliver on Mar. 3.

“Upon arriving on scene police discovered that the suspect vehicle had driven through the front window of the liquor store causing thousands of dollars in damage,” she said in an email.
Once inside the suspect stole a number of items before fleeing the scene.
The vehicle that was used in the crime was a 2013 Kia Sorrento which had been stolen from Oliver during the early morning hours of Mar. 3.
Osoyoos RCMP recovered the stolen vehicle the next day.
