A Kelowna addiction centre is liquidating its assets and selling its properties as it prepares to close.
Crossroads Treatment Centre is the Okanagan’s only publically funded alcohol and drug treatment centre. Faced with heavy debt and a shortage of funds, the facility announced in January that it was shutting down. No new clients are being accepted at Crossroads though the detox program is open until June.

The three buildings of Crossroads Treatment Centre have an assessed value of $3.7 million though they are likely to go for much less through the liquidation process. Two properties sit on Highway 33 while another sits on Gray Road.
The addiction and treatment centre is currently more than $1.5 million in debt and is selling everything to pay off its debt and its bills.
Interior Health says there are no plans to replace the program but adds that an announcement will be made soon to address the matter.
