Steve Mason finishes conditioning stint with Manitoba Moose

Goalie Steve Mason will rejoin the Winnipeg Jets ahead of Tuesday’s road game against the New York Rangers.

The NHL veteran spent the weekend with the AHL’s Manitoba Moose on a conditioning stint. He made 18 saves in Saturday’s 5-4 overtime win over the Iowa Wild.

RELATED: Jets kick off six game road trip with a positive result

Mason has been out of the Jets’ lineup since Jan. 9 after suffering his second concussion of the season. He’s appeared in just three NHL games over the last 14 weeks.

It’s not known when or if Mason will suit up for the Jets during the remainder of their current six-game road trip.

To make room on the roster for Mason, the Jets have sent goalie Michael Hutchinson to the Moose.
