Justin Bieber is encouraging his followers to take action and sign a petition in support of March for Our Lives, in response to the Feb. 14 mass shooting that took 17 lives at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla.
March for Our Lives is a movement “created by, inspired by, and led by students across the USA who will no longer risk their lives waiting for someone else to take action to stop the epidemic of mass school shootings that have become all too familiar,” according to the website.
Bieber has previously voiced his support of the March for Our Lives movement, which was started by the teenage survivors of the Parkland, Fla., high school mass shooting.

“Help these kids and sign their petition now,” the Love Yourself singer tweeted on March 3.
The March of Our Lives is an event planned for Washington, D.C., on March 24 that calls on the U.S. government to respond to school shootings.
The Canadian pop star’s tweet included a link to the March for Our Lives petition, which is described as “an act to protect and save your children.”
The petition, which was created by the students, asks elected officials to pass a law to ban the sale of assault weapons, prohibit the sales of high-capacity magazines and close loopholes in background checks that allow “dangerous people who shouldn’t be allowed to purchase firearms to slip through the cracks.”

Singer Harry Styles also told his fans to sign the petition earlier last week.
“I just signed the @AMarch4OurLives petition, and you should too,” he tweeted.
Other celebrities have also signed the petition that calls for specific gun reform measures and asked their social media followers to support the movement.
On Feb. 20, Oprah Winfrey matched a US$500,000 donation by George and Amal Clooney to the students’ planned marches.
Gucci also donated US$500,000 to march and publicly announced, “We stand with March for Our Lives and the fearless students across the country who demand that their lives and safety become a priority. We have all been directly or indirectly impacted by these senseless tragedies.”
