The owner of popular steakhouse Gibby’s has died.
Gilbert Rosenberg, affectionately known as “Gibby,” died suddenly in his home last Thursday, according to his obituary.

Rosenberg leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Soryl Shulman, his children and grandchildren.
Rosenberg founded the first Gibby’s in Mont Saint-Sauveur in 1970 and later opened a second location in Montreal.
A funeral service will be held at Paperman & Sons on Mar. 4.
