A machete. Knives. A baseball bat. A “Beretta”-style airsoft pistol, brass knuckles, two ski masks and a wig.
That was what transit police allegedly found in the possession of Albert Edgar Fontaine when they arrested him on a Canada-wide warrant on Feb. 5, according to a news release.

Transit police officers were on a mobile patrol when they pulled over a vehicle that didn’t have active insurance in the 100-block of 132nd Street in Surrey, between two SkyTrain stations.
The driver provided police with an alias and fraudulent identification, according to police.
Officers later determined that Fontaine was the driver, and that he was wanted on a warrant for parole revocation.

That revocation stemmed from charges of kidnapping and use of an imitation firearm in 2016, from the Penticton-area.
Fontaine, it turned out, was also a suspended driver and was bound by conditions; he was prohibited from possessing weapons and he had a 10 p.m. curfew.
He now has three new charges against him: possession of identity documents, possession of a prohibited weapon and failing to comply with a probation order.
Fontaine was scheduled to appear in in Surrey Provincial Court on Friday.
