Laval police have confirmed the death of missing 14-year-old Athena Gervais was accidental.
On Thursday evening Laval police said they recovered the body of a Athena Gervais who had been missing since Monday.
The body of Gervais was found behind Poly-Jeunesse High School in Laval.

Laval firefighters made the discovery at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon during a sweep of the grounds.
Laval police have yet to determine the cause of death. Authorities say alcohol is suspected to have played a role .
A preliminary autopsy has been completed and a toxicology exam is now underway.
Investigators had been searching the school grounds since Tuesday, and said the girl’s remains were not easily visible.
Gervais went missing after leaving her school at the lunch hour in the Fabreville district of Laval on Monday.
