Guelph man charged in child pornography investigation

Guelph police have laid child pornography charges against a Guelph man.

Police and their internet child exploitation unit along with their technological crimes unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the east end of the city Wednesday afternoon, and once inside seized a number of computer systems and digital devices.

As a result of the investigation, 42-year-old Richard Greywood is facing charges of possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and distributing child pornography to others.

Greywood is expected to appear in court on April 10.

The police service credits a grant from the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services for this project.
